McCarthy gives us three components: a plan to organize the political will to remove Obama, a sample bill of impeachment, and a full set of notes. The division that we have between legislative, judicial, and executive branches was intended either to prevent the emergence of a dictator or to give us the means to remove him/her without using rifles and bombs. We, nonetheless, now have a master rather than a servant.

Part One: Politics

A summary of the past six years – “we don’t have the votes,” “Misc1onduct of public men,” “The I-word,” “The point is removal,” “Politics, not law,” “Prosecutorial discretion” . . . Six short chapters that should infuriate you. The House has the duty to impeach, the Senate to convict and remove. The House won’t act because members are sure that the Senate will not. It’s Washington and there are too many distractions, important business – impeachment – is neglected.

Part Two: Articles of Impeachment

Refusal to execute the law, usurpation of Congressional authority; Usurpation of Congressional prerogatives; Dereliction as Commander-in-Chief; Fraud on the American people; Failure to apply immigration laws, Justice Department failure to execute the laws; and undermining the constitutional rights of Americans. Health care, immigration, the IRS, and, of course, Benghazi, are prime sources of material. (For example Qaddafi was an ally, executed by Hillary, Susan, and Samantha while BO was out of the country.)

But, Andy . . .

  1. There has been a Legislative failure to perform . . . the drive for reelection – money and votes – dominates love of country and as someone remarked, the GOP is an empty shell, defined by polite innuendo, following the steps of a dance instructor rather than emitting meaningful sound and fury.
  2. Money rather than morals appears to be our foundation. And, more specifically, “What’s in it for me?” instead of “What’s right or wrong?”
  3. We have an impulsive mob competing for fun and glory on Twitter, Internet news, and Facebook. The toys that they buy underwrite Chinese expansion. The French revolution, Russian gulags, and German camps depended on impulsive people. So does today’s Democrat party. And we have today the best connected, least purposeful population in history.
  4. He wisely does not speculate that Obama’s fundamental loyalties are to Shia . . . histories are yet to be written.
  5. McCarthy does not mention the NSA and the tyranny that inevitably thrives on large data bases, possibly including those of  the Democrat party.
  6. He didn’t mention Joe Biden as a deterrent to impeachment. . .Andrew McCarthy (2014) Faithless Execution, p. 155.All the Kings Men. VHS version of Robert Penn Warren’s masterpiece.
