“The military trial of US army officer Nidal Hasan, charged with killing 13 people at an army post in Texas state, has begun. “Hasan made his opening statement on Tuesday and is representing himself in court. He has admitted that he was the shooter in the attack carried out on November 2009 rampage at Fort Hood, one of the worst mass shootings in US history. “‘Witnesses will testify that war is an ugly thing. Death, destruction and devastation are felt from both sides, from friend and foe. Evidence from this trial will only show one side. I was on the wrong side but I switched sides,’ said Hasan in his two-minute statement. “Hasan, who is confined to a wheelchair after being shot by military police during the attack, is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of premeditated attempted murder. . .” http://www.aljazeera.com/news/americas/2013/08/2013866153883543.html
There are similarities between two killers – one of unarmed American soldiers, the other of unarmed American citizens. Our president had an Islamic rearing, he was mildly anti-social in high school, and while he studied with radicals at Harvard and Columbia, hid his academic records. When he was a state legislator and cornered into a vote, he answered “present.”
He became a fan of Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright, and Bill Ayers and worked on applying Cloward-Piven’s ideas for collapsing the dominant culture. He has been, and is, on the wrong side. He now faces down a Congress, works with socialist partners (including Holder, Clinton, Jones, Napolitano, McCarthy, Sibelius, and Panetta), rules through a bewildering nexus of “Executive Orders,” and, while playing golf, shares much of his authority with his Chief of Staff, Iranian Valerie Bowman Jarrett. His lethal acts include the reorganization of America’s health care, selling arms to Mexican drug lords and spying on Americans through the IRS and the National Security Agency, the TSA, EPA, and Homeland Security (and probably supplying that data to Democrat operatives). While curtailing our military forces, he donates weapons to local police.
He (and three of his staff – Clinton, Powers, and Rice) sabotaged Quadaffi, Mubarak, Netanyahu, and Assad – all in an armed resistance sold to us as the “Arab Spring.” (His advice to Israel is that a group of IQ 75s will keep their word Middle Eastern Muslims might pray five times per day because they need the supervision!) Obama took immediate credit for bin Laden’s death, has been actively silent on the later deaths of twenty-two members of Seal Team Six, and, apparently through Ms. Jarrett, ordered CIA operatives and rescue forces to “stand down” in Benghazi. Our diplomatic corps is sometimes a trough for arming al-Qaeda. In his free time, and there’s a lot of it, Obama plays golf, spends lavishly on family vacations, has a close companionship with Jarrett, and flies his dog to Cape Cod in a separate Osprey. Hasan is more honest than Obama. Four years ago,
I mentioned to Congressman James Gerlach the standing ovations that I received whenever I mentioned “impeach and remove.” His response: “Things could get mean.” They have been mean since Woodrow Wilson. . . Mr. Beck this morning (August 14th) suggested that we conservatives distinguish between “liberals” and “progressives” and unite with the former to incapacitate the latter. Good thought.
