“In scenes that brought grim reminders of the violence brought forth from the frenzy of Black Friday, shoppers all over the country are firing guns, breaking into malls, and getting pepper-sprayed by police just to get their hands on a pair of Air Jordans.”
Mr. Boehner reflects our concerns about “jobs” instead of “values.” He…despite preliminary excuses about limits on our ability to rewrite computer software … agreed to a two-month extension of reduced payroll taxes. A peculiar decision: First, FICA is the main funding stream for social security, a dying entitlement that some of us expected to enjoy until we died. Second, physicians must adjust to lower fee structures unless there is a different longer-term contract between them and Medicare. And third, the Canada-US pipeline appears to have been lost until after BO’s reelection campaign: our President currently takes financial contributions from opposing sides on this issue: the environmentalists compete with the unions and industrialists. All of these things are now on hold.
The virus – secularization – that infects us is the same one that leads mobs of us to swarm for an early store opening instead of for an early church opening. People mob for sneakers and iPods but not for Bibles. Tim Tebow’s prayers excite praise even from Muslims but, unfortunately, don’t get us to a church. And our restricting religious practices in our schools leaves our children free to create their own religions (Wicca?… Vampires?… Goths?… Emo?… Dungeons and Dragons?).
On the other hand, give a cellphone to a malcontent and he or she can grow a mob .Voter fraud grows overnight as do the swarms of beggars who want free medical care, houses, food, education, and campsites in city parks.
Finally, Mr. Boehner is not only Majority Leader, he also represents some of the people of Ohio – members of unions who overran the last election in that state. They’re probably coming for him next. Thus, he can take orders from “establishment” secularists such as Karl Rove and secure his campaign funds or follow the principled, new (Tea Party) members of this Congress and “Just say no.”
We are losing America because Islam finds us more susceptible to their principles than they are to Madonna’s or Lindsay’s. “Duty, Honor, and Country” is not just a slogan but a rap, rumble, and thunder from a drum.
